Another Endangered Feline………

Only 20 to 30 of these beautiful cats remain in the south-west area of Primorye in Russia’s Far East.    Like other critically endangered species they have been driven out of their natural habitat by deforestation and the activities of humans.   Fortunately, unlike some,  they do breed successfully in zoos so a small captive population will ensure their genes are preserved if they die out completely in the wild.

  1. It figures that the Russians would kill off these beautiful cats. It is a shame these cats never developed a taste for Russians.

  2. It’s unfortunate that so many people are more concerned about their own lives then they are about a species dieing out. Most people won’t start to care until after we’ve lost the species altogether; which by then it will be too late.
